EBates Paid!

I first signed up for Ebates waaaayyy back in September when I first heard about it. I posted about it here. Basically, Ebates is a website where you can choose an online retailer like OldNavy.com, JCPenney.com, E-bay, or whatever. When you click on those retailers through the Ebates site and make a purchase, you receive a percentage of your purchase back in a rebate.

I figured if I was going to do some online shopping anyway, I would sign up and make my purchases through Ebates. I just got my first payout for $15.78 deposited into my Paypal account! Here is the breakdown of what made up my $15.78:
This came with very little effort because these were purchases I was going to make anyway and I am happy to collect my spoils!

Note that you must have at least $5.00 to get a payout. This $5.00 must be from actual purchases to count towards your payout (i.e. your signing bonus doesn't count). Deposits are made to your Paypal account each quarter if you have at least $5.00, if not it just accumulates until you do.

As a bonus, you also get $5.00 for each person who signs up for Ebates using your referral link. This is posted to your Ebates account after they make their first purchase. If you do ANY online shopping at all you should sign up for Ebates - what do you have to lose? Oh yeah, nothing! Sign up here using my link then get your own link and share it with all your friends!

Buying Coupons on E-Bay

Sometimes there are coupons that are so good that you want as many of them as you can get. An example would be the Valley Fresh Steamers $1.00 off coupons. Many stores had the Valley Fresh Steamers on sale for $1.00 or less where using a coupon would make them FREE.

I tried my hand at purchasing coupons on E-bay. So far, I am happy with my experience. I purchased two sets of 100 random coupons for about a dollar each. These netted me a few good coupons, but most of them I just passed along in my coupon train. Then I decided to look for the Valley Fresh coupons and was pleasantly surprised to find many people selling them. I ended up getting 40 coupons from two different sellers at two different times for a total of about $8.00. This was a great price because Albertson's recently had them on sale for $.75 - giving me a $.25 overage per package and coupon I used. Check out my trips to Albertson's in this post.

The other great thing about buying coupons on E-bay is that you can use Ebates and get a percentage of cash back for your purchase. Read more about Ebates here.

How about you? Have you found any great coupons on E-bay lately?

E-Bates

Do you enjoy shopping online? Or even just do it occasionally? There is an awesome site called E-Bates that actually pays you back for shopping online! There are thousands of stores that participate such as Target.com, Overstock.com, Barnes&Noble.com, Dell, Office Depot, Old Navy just to name a few.

Once you are signed up for E-bates, all you do is:
  1. Log into E-bates
  2. Choose a store and you will be routed to the site for that store
  3. Shop
  4. Earn cash back

Best of all, there is no obligation on your part. You can use it as little or as much as you want and you must have at least $5.01 to cash out. This is simple because you actually get a $5.00 bonus just for signing up - so you will recieve cash back on your first purchase. The money accumulates in your E-bates account and every three months they will either cut you a check, or transfer the funds into your Paypal account. If you don't have at least $5.01 built up in the account, it will accumulate until you do!

Another great part of this program is that if you refer someone to sign up, you get $5.00 once they make their first purchase! It is a win-win!

So...sign up for E-bates here, just in time to do all of your Christmas shopping!
