Menu Plan Monday - Week of December 8-14

I must say I am loving this Menu Plan Monday thing. I feel so organized and I love the fact that I am planning my meals with my stockpile. I also love that I have been pretty good at sticking to the plan. I have made some changes, but I think plans have to be flexible based on the needs of your family. Like when I was given a big bag of broccoli the other day, I made some broccoli cheddar chowder.

So here are my plans for this coming week:

Monday - Crock Pot Beef Stew - this is just a concoction I throw together sometimes with whatever we have. Stew meat, carrots, potatoes, and onions are a must. Right now I have some celery I need to get rid of so I'll add that. I'll add a can of tomato sauce and some spices or whatever.

Tuesday - Grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup (I work this day and this is so quick, easy, and delicious)

Wednesday - Turkey Polish sausage, Au gratin potatoes, green salad (we didn't have Polish sausage last week as planned)

Thursday - Meatloaf, twice baked potatoes, corn, rolls (Rhodes)

Friday - Amish Chicken Casserole (I saw this on another blogger's menu plan and it looked good.), green beans

Saturday - Potluck Christmas Party, I am not sure what the theme is yet - so I don't know what I will bring.

Sunday - Bertolli Oven Bakes Chicken Parmesan, peas, green salad

I don't include lunches in my menu plan because they are normally just whatever we have around. For my husband's lunch, I usually pack him some leftovers or a couple of sandwiches or whatever. On the days I work, I just come home for lunch because my work is just over a mile away. For me and the kids it is the standard - PBJ, mac and cheese, hot dogs, canned soup, leftover dinner, etc.

Breakfasts are cold cereal, toast, muffins (if I make any), and on Saturdays we make a big breakfast.

Thanks for the comment! I really enjoyed doing the Menu Plan Monday. I thought is was going to be time consuming, but it wasn't at all and I have stumbled upon some interesting ideas browsing other people's blogs! Grilled cheese and tomato soup will find their way onto one of my future posts I'm sure!

Yummy! I didn't include lunch on my menu either, since most times it is leftovers from the night before or just whatever we have around the house. :)
