If you live in the Boise area, A&B Books (located on the corner of Latah and Alpine, which is between Franklin and Emerald) is going out of business. Through October most of their books are $1.00! They are closed Mondays, and are open from 10:00-5:30. They have all types and varieties of books (including cookbooks, one of my weaknesses!) This would be a great time to pick up some books very inexpensively to use for Christmas gifts or to increase your personal collection!
